The side curtain airbag module is positioned along the side of the headliner. In the event of a sufficient side impact, this system will activate to help provide protection for both the front and outboard rear occupants on the side of impact.

In the event of a moderate-to-severe side impact, the SmartVent® side airbag is designed to deploy and inflate quickly to maximize potential protection for properly seated occupants, helping to protect the driver's or front passenger's upper body from injury, or vent before fully inflating if an occupant is in the side airbag deployment path, thereby decreasing the likelihood for an airbag-related injury.

Honda spent some serious one-on-one time with its highly reputable line in 2015. With the focus on a variety of updates, Honda made exterior styling revisions to include the brilliance of modern LED taillamps for all models. Honda models received sophisticated suspension tuning modifications as well as engine changes which included adding the Direct-Injected four-cylinder and Continuously Variable Transmission. Honda awarded select models with an eloquent brand new trim level. Moreover, some Hondas returned from a productive hiatus for a full redesigning experience. In 2015, the Honda lineup also showed improved fuel economy and a longer, richer feature list. Some received new interior trim such as a handy new front console armrest. More convenient cabin space and a flexible 60/40 split rear seat to boost cargo space were introduced to some, while the Honda Sensing Package for more driver assistance was equipped in all models. Faithfully fulfilling consumer demands, select models received a crisp new 7-inch touchscreen which linked directly to the LaneWatch Blind Spot monitoring system as well as the necessary convenience of the Apple CarPlay and Android functionality. For added seasonal comfort for all passengers, rear climate vents were added. And lastly but most importantly, Honda added new advanced Safety technology to its lineup making 2015 a well-appointed year.
